High Silicon Cast Iron Anode
Complies with ASTM A518-86 (grade 3).
Available in Rod and Tube form.
Chill cast in metal mould to produce compact crystal structure, high density and low consumption rate.
Alloy contains Cr and/or Mo according to the customer specification.

Si - Fe low cost compared with alternative materials.
SiO2 film stablises the surface.
Widely used in impressed current systems protecting offshore structures and underground pipelines.
Low resistance with low consumption rate.
Tube form advantages over Rod:
• Lower anodic resistance to electrolytes.
• Increased surface to weight ratio which reduces current density requirement and distributes gases over a larger area (important for deep sea installations).
• Improved current distribution.
• Relaxed end electric discharge.
• Cable joint located in centre of tube.
